Dual-Wavelength Optical Laser Source

Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics has announced the availability of this optical laser source which simulates various conditions in the manufacture, testing and maintenance of passive optical components. It boasts highly accurate measurements and is compatible with other optical instruments. It features a large LCD screen, sleek design and easy operation and belongs to GAO’s Fiber Optic Light Source family of products.

This portable optical laser source, model 3E, uses automatic power control (APC) and automatic temperature control (ATC) techniques to ensure highly efficient tests. It has dual center wave lengths of 1310 and 1550 nm (±20 nm) and a signal output connector. This intelligent laser source provides optional operating wavelengths of 1310, 1550, 1310/1550, 650/1310/1550 and 850/1300/1550 nm together with switchable modulation frequencies including CW, 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz to meet various requirements. It can also be customized for wavelengths of 1300, 1490 and 1625 nm. The fiber optic visual light source features highly stable output power of ±0.03 dB/15 mins and ±0.05 dB/ 8h, an auto-off function, low battery power indication and a back lit LCD display. FC, ST and SC adapters are available. The laser source operates continuously for five hours on a single charge.
