It is widely used in backbone network transmission and is primarily used for Gigabit Ethernet devices links.
This 1000 Base-TX to 1000 Base-FX Media Converter, model C0310002, features a modular design and provides IEEE802.3x flow control in full duplex mode. It complies with IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX standards. It performs automatic negotiation and supports automatic cross of twisted pair ports.
This plug and play media converter extends the transmission distance of a network from 100 m over copper wires to up to 80 km through optical fibre link. Alarm LED illuminates to indicate link failure, while the status LEDs fully monitor the convertor’s operational status making observation and diagnoses easy. Additionally, this media converter can be used as a standalone unit or works with GAO’s C0340001 chassis system.
