Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics has announced the release of its upgraded handheld optical multi meter. The meter is intended to test a variety of devices using on meter rather than many devices resulting in great convenience and cost savings. It can be used in telecom and CATV maintenance, synthetic cable distribution, passive device manufacturing, lab testing and research.
This optical multi meter, model 08612, includes all the functions of a power meter and a stable light source. Both functionalities operate independently via function switch operation. The inclusion of both a power meter and light source enables the optical meter to implement loop-around tests. Different light source and power meter parameters can be configured in the handheld meter according to customer requirements. The multi meter has a data storage capacity of 240 records, and has a frequency range of 10Hz to 60KHz. The energy-saving meter shuts down automatically after ten minutes of inactivity.
