Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics, recommends its innovative handheld power meter which is intended for absolute power and relative loss measurements of fiber optics. The economical power meter is widely used in telecommunications and CATV maintenance and fiber optics test labs. It features highly accurate test results, automatic identification of frequencies, and efficient data storage.
The multi-functional handheld power meter, model 08121, tests optical power within a wavelength range of 800nm to 1650nm and displays test results in mW, dB and dBm on its large, high resolution LCD screen. It also offers pre-calibrated wavelengths including 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, and 1550nm; more optional calibrated wavelengths are available. This easy-to-use power meter is resistant to dust and water, which makes it suitable for field use. The meter consumes little power due to its auto-off function and boasts a quick response time without requiring warm-up. In addition, it provides an RS232 communication port for data transmission.
