Overview – Handheld Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer This
handheld OTDR locates faults and breaks in optical fiber and measures
physical characteristics including length, transmission loss and splice
loss and performs visible fault location (VFL). It offers optional
wavelengths of 1310nm, 1550nm, 1625nm and 1490nm. The OTDR features a
short event dead zone of 1.6m, a high resolution of 0.25m, 65535
sampling points and a long operating time of more than 10 hours on a
single charge. This rugged OTDR provides dual USB interfaces supporting
both USB stick and direct cable download to a computer via ActiveSync.
