Introduction – Optical Multi-meter (GAO2498A)
GAO2498A optical multi-meter is easy to use and designed for fieldwork. The meter can be used as an optical power meter, stabilized light source or a loss test measurement system. Its small size and light weight allows you to use it anywhere, and you can select the optimal power source for your needs -- AC adapter, rechargeable Ni-Cd battery or dry cells.
GAO’s optical multi-meter covers 0.85 µm, 1.30 µm, 1.31 µm, and 1.55 µm for optical loss measurement. It provides CW mode light signals; therefore, it is possible to measure optical loss over a wide dynamic range. This meter is most suitable for single mode fiber measurement and provides a wavelength calibration function at 4 wavelengths.
Key Features – Optical Multi-meter (GAO2498A)
- Measures CW light
- Provides calibration function at 4 wavelengths
- Operates in 3 modes: AC, rechargeable Ni-Cd battery, and dry cells
- Measures optical loss over a wide dynamic range
Applications – Optical Multi-meter (GAO2498A)
Optical fiber loss measurement
When measuring optical fibers, it is convenient to provide one GAO2498A each at both the near and far ends.
Optical parts performance check
A light source and optical power meter are provided, so an optical parts performance check is possible at low cost
