Overview - Riverstone Compatible 1000Base-ZX SFP Transceiver (SFPGE-18)
This small form factor hot pluggable fiber optic transceiver operates at a nominal wavelength of 1550 nm and boasts a long transmission distance of up to 70 km over 9 micron single-mode fiber (SMF). It provides standard AC coupled CML for high speed signal and LVTTL control and monitoring of signals. This optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter uses a1550 nm DFB laser; the receiver section uses an Integrated GaAs Detector Preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. In addition, the transceiver is compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and SFF-8472.
